Short shifter made of steel, corrosion-resistant due to galvanization, with a new plastic sleeve and a self-lubricating bronze bushing at the gearbox linkage mounting point.
The short shifter features adjustable throw, with the maximum setting (longest throw) achieving an effect comparable to the popular Z3 lever. No additional parts are needed for installation, and no drilling or modification is required – remove the selector, the original lever, and the worn plastic sleeve, and replace them with the new sleeve and shifter. The gear shift knob is made of plastic – it doesn't heat up in summer or chill your hand in winter. The length is the same as the original lever, with an M12x1.75 thread. It is possible to unscrew the knob and replace it with another preferred one. The images show the overall appearance, installed on the selector, and a comparison with the original BMW lever.
